The Best Ways to Use Facebook To Grow Your Business!

Facebook pages are no longer just a place to hangout. Since Facebook changed the way businesses are shown on the news feed, they decided to make it more of a destination. This means it displays hours, pricing, and reviews. So before you start posting you must have a solid foundation for your business Facebook page.

Creating a Facebook Page When you first join Facebook, you are given a public profile. These are for personal use, and should not be used for a business page. For you to run advertisements, check out analytics, and all the other tools, you must create a Facebook Page. Facebook pages do not have a separate login from your personal profile. The best way to create a Facebook Page is by visiting https://www.facebook.com/pages/create.

*Remember, do not use your personal Facebook page as a business page! Facebook has been shutting down accounts without warning. You should create your Facebook Page, and tell all of your friends and followers to go like the page! Do not lose all that valuable traffic!

Facebook Marketing Strategy After you have created your Facebook business page, it is time to start getting people engaged! Here is a little tip I always share with my clients before getting traffic to their Facebook page. Set up chatbots. I will write another post about chatbots to go into more detail! Let's jump into it!

Boost interaction with embedded posts

This is a great way to get your website viewers engaged with your Facebook, and vice versa. If you do not know how to do some of these steps, feel free to reach out to us, and we will be happy to do it for you!

How to embed a Facebook post:

1. Hover over the post you want to embed, left-click on the arrow that appears, and choose “Embed Post”.

2. Copy the code that appear sand paste it as HTML on your website or blog

Repost your best content, but don't be spammy about it

Since a lot of people do not check their Facebook news feed all day, every day, and only a small portion of your fans will see it the first time around; if you have a killer article or link to share, post it several times, so that as many people as possible can see it! Balance is important though, Facebook will penalize you if you publish the same article too many times. So, don’t be spammy!

Increase organic engagement with Facebook Audience Optimization Facebook Audience Optimization is a tool that lets you target or restrict organic Page posts to specific fans, based on information such as their age, gender, location, and interests. Depending on your business and content strategy goals, not ALL of your fans will be interested in every one of your posts, so the ability to focus the reach of certain posts is crucial! If you have not enabled this feature, feel free to reach out to us and we will walk you through the process! It is one of the most useful tools for making sure your content reaches the right people!

Stories on Facebook In 2018, Facebook gave Page owners the ability to share Page Stores with their fans. Page stories are almost identical to Instagram Stories. Facebook stories are an easy way to stay connected with fans. They are 10-second videos or pictures that can be modified and have filters and stickers. They key to stories is to have a short, relatable message. We want to stay in the minds of our fans! The best stories are the ones that are rough around the edges, and show people how the business really operates behind the scenes.

What to Post

This is one of the most asked questions that we get at WiseGuys. We have a 100+ templates of post ideas that we give to our clients on request. We would be happy to share them to you as well if you email Info@wiseguysdigitalmarketing.com with subject “Facebook Post Template”. The main function of Facebook is like a coffee shop. You want to get to know people and build relationships. The worst thing you can do on your Facebook Page is post things that no one cares about. Spark conversations and get people engaged!

Track your Progress

After a couple of weeks of using the strategies we talked about, you will want to see what type of return you are getting for your time. What you will want to do is use Facebook Insights to track how your Page has been performing day by day and over longer periods of time. You will be able to understand what type of content really works and what does not. Facebook will show different times of activity, and outline the best fans, and times to post!

Those were just a couple of ways you can use Facebook to grow your businesses visibility online! While Facebook wont bring in a heaping amount of leads every month, it will build that brand loyalty that everyone is trying to achieve these day!
